Photography 101: Moment

I’ve been painting for the last few days, because I want to finish a couple of paintings before the end of the season. Without the proper sleep, but with the spirit of inspired action and adventure I can easily paint for many hours or even days.

Today’s theme of Photography 101, class of November is: Moment, so let’s go ahead to my interpretation of it…

We all knows what to do when, the moment of inspiration knocks the door… with the feeling of the river inside you, that seems to be flowing so easily and effortlessly. It’s like the dance of two lovers that smoothly and with the trust to each other, want’s to play a bit along the way of creation.

Writing then becomes the most uplifting and inspiring novel, that you have ever read in your life. Painting and expressing yourself on canvas becomes the flying experience of the journey to the deepest parts of your soul and desires of the heart.

Pure joy of life and awareness of current moment is like the experience of first snow in December. Specific excitement that you can see on the face of your friend, whenever you are able to have a deep chat with him…

The moment of signing my art works, whenever they are finished and also understand by myself is priceless. The smell of canvas and a first touch of the end result is like reaching the other side of the globe with the blink of an eye.

Explaining the process of creation during painting is like the feeling of swimming with the river of life inside you… a wonderful description of this experience is by Rumi below, from one of the books, I’ve mentioned about here.

” When you do things from your Soul,

you feel a river moving in you,

a joy “

  2. Beautiful words, Swav. Lost in the moment when we’re creating. I can totally understand you. When I’m writing a first draft, sometimes I get lost in my thoughts and words – seeing the art and words pop up on my computer screen is exhilarating. Reading my draft gives me another happy feeling as well – the craft is coming together and what a feeling.

Sometimes I can’t describe the feeling of creating…it’s magical. I’m sure you feel the same way too. Thanks for the flowers…and the banana behind too 🙂
