I’ve got an idea for exchange letters worldwide. It’s simple and straightforward. All you need to do is to contact the person you want to write with. The best way with the use of old school/hand writing. The choice of tools is up to you. I used to write by fountain pen myself. I’ve got it as a gift on my 36th birthday, and since then writing became one of my passions as well.
SIMPLE RULES:
- Ask the person first before sending a letter
- Keep your story short or pick the subject for exchange letter. The best way, if would be about positive matter or something that you are interested with. Your passion or hobby like. Let’s keep the world we are living in inspired and joyful
- Don’t be annoying or asking for a favour in advance, be polite, like a real friend who want’s to be a friend also.
- If you speak more than one language, it might be cool to write the same text in both languages, your native one and the one that you know. So, then we can learn some foreign language from each other.
- As an extra option, we can record an audio or video file with the written text or read our texts over skype connection, it’s just for the craic (fun)
- Send your letter in envelope with some ‘cool post stamp’ on it or more traditional one, all is up to you.
- Enjoy writing and share the idea with your friends.

My handwriting has become so bad I would be embarrassed to write a letter in it!

Sooner or later every aspect of our life will become paperless, but on the other side, receiving the letter from someone living on the other side of the world might be priceless

I used to have pen pals a long time ago when growing up. The thrill of receiving actual letters and not bills will be great. How do I contact someone? It’s been so long. Do you mean ask fellow bloggers?

Hi Max… The easiest way is by leaving your comment on the blog of someone, that you’d like to write with as foreign pen pal or your next writing friend… Ask and then go with the flow, the subject to write about is up to you. I prefer to write about something which comes from one of my passions, because it’s easy and authentic. A good start point might be to write a couple of sentences about the positive aspects of your pen pal’s country, the nation or something that comes to your mind spontaneously…
